Lindsay Dorris
Board Director
Born and raised in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Lindsay developed a love for canoeing and wilderness camping in the Minnesota and Canadian backcountry. After attending the University of North Dakota and transferring to Florida State University, she earned a master’s in Special Education. She taught for 3 ½ years in Atlanta before joining Delta Airlines as a flight attendant, where she met her husband, Bill.
After starting a family, Lindsay left Delta to focus on raising their four children and became a dedicated community volunteer, supporting her church, her kids’ schools, Wellspring Living (a shelter for teen girls who have been trafficked,) and youth sports. Her favorite volunteer role, however, is with the Boys and Girls Club of the Plateau, where she can often be found assisting at the front desk or helping kids in Power Hour, always with a smile. Now, she and Bill split their time between Marietta and their home on Lake Glenville, enjoying family, friends, and especially their grandchildren.
