Sarah Pursel

Sarah oversees BGCP operations for all three sites, including Cashiers, Highlands, and the Teen Club. Sarah first joined BGCP in August 2022 as the Program Director and moved into operations in June 2023. Her previous experience of 10+ years working in non-profit administration and a background in teaching environmental education to children led her to develop a passion for serving youth and the community. Sarah is committed to facilitating organizational policies, procedures, and programs that focus on safe and positive outcomes for youth. Sarah holds a Master’s Degree in Biology from Western Carolina University and also has a devotion to the outdoors and land conservation. When not at the Club, Sarah enjoys spending her time exploring nature, hiking, and horseback riding.
